A Note from the Founder

Before starting The Artisans Vault, I spent over a decade in the luxury automotive world and had the privilege of living across four different countries. Along the way, I found myself drawn to lovely antique markets, local bazaars, and artists and makers who create remarkable things by hand. It made me think about India, where making things by hand has always been part of everyday life, and how, because we are so used to it, we sometimes forget to truly value the hands behind it.

I often found myself speaking about our crafts, recommending artists, bringing home small treasures from my travels, and introducing friends to things I thought they would love.

The Artisans Vault grew from that instinct.

I have always felt that Indian craft deserves a place in the same conversation as the finest design anywhere in the world. The skill has always been there, and some traditions carry hundreds of years of generational knowledge. What changes is the context in which we see them.

I am also an avid collector and, most likely, a borderline hoarder of old things. My collection has slowly become a kind of archive; little reminders of places travelled, things discovered and objects that, for one reason or another, found their way home with me.

The Artisans Vault is my way of sharing that diary.

I invite you to explore The Vault, and perhaps find something that catches your eye, stays with you, and finds its way home.
