Kilim Cushion Collection - Multicolor Triangles

Kilims, flat-woven rugs without a pile, have a history rooted in ancient civilizations and nomadic cultures. Their origins can be traced back thousands of years in countries like Turkey, Iran, and the Caucasus. 

Kilims were initially functional, serving as floor coverings, storage bags, and decorations for tents and saddlebags. Over time, they evolved into more elaborate art forms, with each design reflecting the cultural and spiritual beliefs of the communities that wove them. 

In India, Kilim originated in Rajasthan and Gujarat.  Jute and wool  is hand knotted to create carpets, rugs, and cushion covers. This process requires immense patience and results in iconic geometric motifs. The designs, passed down from one generation to another, have traditional, religious and talismanic influences. Each weaver adds their own artistic flair to create unique patterns.

Origin : Handwoven by Indian rural artisans

Material : Jute, Wool. The back is 100% cotton with a zipper. 

Care : Hand Wash only. Do not machine wash.
