Kintsugi Vintage Himalayan pot

The Kintsugi inspired vintage Himalayan pot is a rare majestic piece which has been retained in its original state. Weighting a solid 14.5 kilos, this pot embodies a Japanese art technique called "Kintsugi' that involved repairing broken objects with gold. One is always encouraged to fix rather than discard broken objects. Here you can see an antique thin film of brass film which has been used to repair a crack in the pot, thereby adding to its character and beauty. 

The pot's rim features beautifully intricate hand-carved details. When set on a level surface, the pot stands with a mild tilt, a testament to the natural aging of its two "legs".

If objects could speak, we would spend many an evening listening to the tales this wise old pot could tell.
