Rare Collectible - Old Himalayan pot with brass

There is a hushed grandeur in objects that have survived the passage of time. This rare, vintage wooden pot is a testament to the ancient Indian philosophy of preservation ; a belief held by our ancestors that a "scar" is not a defect, but a badge of honor.

Rather than being discarded when the wood cracked , this piece was lovingly mended with a thin film of antique brass. This repair mirrors the spirit of Japanese Kintsugi, where gold is used to illuminate history rather than hide it.

Weighing a substantial 14.5 kg, the pot features intricate hand-carved detailing along the rim, contrasting the rugged strength of the aged wood.

True to its age, it carries the "wobble" of history. Its two mini carved legs have aged at their own pace, giving the pot a gentle, characteristic tilt. 

If objects could speak, we would spend many an evening listening to the tales this wise old pot could tell.
